About Us: The Faces Behind
ALL-WAYS PLUMBING
Jake was raised in Bend, went to Kenwood, Cascade and graduated from Bend Senior High. He grew up skiing at Bachelor and biking all over the west side with his pack of friends. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy, was stationed in San Diego for four-year aboard the USS Rushmore, at that time a newly commissioned ship. There he started learning his trade as plumber/welder. After serving he was honorably discharged and returned to Bend where he pursued a welding career with a local construction company that focused on large commercial jobs. Multiple certifications were required for large structural steel projects throughout central Oregon. One of the fun projects that Jake and a co-worker fabricated is the steel tree in front of the Bend Police Department. When you use the handrails at the expo center in Redmond you can thank Jake, he welded every one of them. Jake is also an amateur local historian and a wannabe geologist, he can talk to you about the recent and far distant history of our area and about rocks for hours!
After several years welding Jake decided to join the plumbing apprenticeship in 2005. After completing the program in 2009 he immediately opened the doors to ALL-WAYS Plumbing. His focus has been on service plumbing from the start after seeing a lack of good quality service shops. We set out to fill the void that Bend, and central Oregon was so desperately needing. Jake knows the homes around the central Oregon area, with a mental timeline of when different areas were built he has a deeper understanding of potential issues with the different plumbing practices of each era.
During this time Jake and his wife Elisa raised their two children, both of whom were active in skiing, biking and volunteering. Elisa is active in the business, she assists Jake on some of the calls, you can find her helping him with water heater installs. They are a great team which makes for smooth installation of one of the most utilized items in your home.
Elisa was also raised in Bend, with her schools of Juniper, Pilot Butte, and Mountain View. Her parents owned a small business and she started working there in middle school, and all through high school. She had various jobs after graduating ending with over a decade at UPS before she left to help Jake with ALL-WAYS Plumbing and volunteer at their kids’ schools. She has been to the High Desert Museum on field trips more times than she can count, some school years she went four times, and she still enjoys going. She has also volunteered with their children’s ski programs, at bike races and multiple air shows with their youngest and through the Civil Air Patrol. Donating blood has been an important part of her life and she recently achieved 10 gallons donated.
